| STATS This is a fully statistical RP site, which means it's just like a video game (except we have to do the combat calculations ourselves). Unlike other such sites where combat is decided based on dice rolls (meaning the winner is decided based on luck rather than skill), here we use basic elementary school mathematical formula to determine the power of each jutsu (see Combat system for more information). Only people who failed 1st grade Math will have problems with this system. The unknown variables in these formulas are replaced with your character's Stats. There is a total of 8 stats (4 representing your physical capabilities and 4 representing your mental capabilities). Physical Stats (PS): - Stamina (Stm) - A ninja casts jutsus by drawing energy from his stamina (in case of ninjutsus he further molds this energy with spiritual energy and turns it into chakra). Whenever you take damage from an enemy attack and whenever you cast a jutsu, your Stamina stat will be reduced (don't worry, stamina used for jutsus is easily regained. Damage stays with you until you go to a hospital or a medic nin heals it, so be careful). When Stamina hits 0 you die, or just faint.
- Strength (Str) - Represents how strong your body is. Most important for melee combat and if you want to carry/wear lots of equipment.
- Agility (Agl) - Represents how well you can control your body. Most important for evading enemy attacks.
- Perception (Prc) - Represents your awareness of your surroundings, hand-eye coordination and reflexes. Most important for ranged combat. It also greatly helps in detecting genjutsus, hidden enemies/threats, or overcoming obstacles that cloud your senses (such as smoke, mist, loud noise, explosions, distractions ect...).
Knowledge Stats: - Taijutsu (Tai) - Represents have well trained you are in the martial arts, thus improving your Taijutsus.
- Ninjutsu (Nin)- Makes your ninjutsus stronger.
- Genjutsu (Gen) - Improves your genjutsus AND (along with Perception) resistance to enemy genjutsus.
- Kekke Genkai (KG) - Improves your KG abilities and jutsus (assuming you have one)
Improving your statsLike in video games, whenever you defeat enemies, complete missions, post training topics ect... you gain experience points (EXP). When you gain enough EXP you will "level up". With each new level you gain 10 PS and 5 KS stat points. Ninjas are human (powerful humans, but still human) which is why each PS stat has a cap of 150 points and each KS stat a cap of 100 points. Bonus stats from equipment/jutsus/skills/ect... doesn't count towards the cap. When you create your first ninja you start at level 0 and all your stats are 0. Ways of obtaining EXP:- Spoiler:
Once per week you can: -Open a training topic 400~500 words. Based on quality (yes quality not quantity. We don't want a 10 paged essay) a mod/admin will award you 1~6 EXP. -Ask a mod to evaluate a topic where you RPed just for fun (hanging out with friends, exploring the village, taking a walk, ect...). He will reward you 1~3 EXP.
You also obtain EXP by completing missions and killing/capturing/defeating enemy ninja. It's a much faster, but more dangerous way of earning EXP: -D rank mission or ninja with levels 0~10 = 2 EXP -C rank mission or ninja with levels 11~20 = 4 EXP -B rank mission or ninja with levels 21~30 = 10 EXP -A rank mission or ninja with levels 31~40 = 25 EXP -S rank mission or ninja with levels 41~50 = 75 EXP (You receive twice as much EXP if you kill/capture a PC ninja. You receive half the listed EXP if you defeat, but fail to kill/capture an NPC enemy) Required Exp for next level: - Spoiler:
- Levels 0 to 5 = 5 Exp per LvL
- Levels 6 to 10 = 15 Exp per LvL
- Levels 11 to 15 = 20 Exp per LvL
- Levels 16 to 20 = 25 Exp per LvL
- Levels 21 to 25 = 30 Exp per LvL
- Levels 26 to 30 = 35 Exp per LvL
- Levels 31 to 35 = 40 Exp per LvL
- Levels 36 to 40 = 50 Exp per LvL
- Levels 41 to 45 = 65 Exp per LvL
- Levels 46 to 50 = 85 Exp per LvL
Specialization If you want to make your ninja especially good in one or several particular areas (such as Ninjutsu, or a Medic nin, or Puppet user, or a Sensor ect...) you can do it by learning skills (you can find a list of all the skills right here). If, for example, all the skills you learn are related to Taijutsus, then your ninja will be the equivalent of Rock Lee. If you were to learn 4 Taijutsu and 5 Medic skills then that ninja would be similar to Tsunade. If you buy 1 skill from every area then you'd be a kind of "Jack of all trades" ninja. Good at everything, but great at nothing. TIP: Try matching you skills with your stats. It would be kind of pointless to buy a Ninjutsu related skill if your Ninjutsu stat is 0 or something. There is a limit to how many skills you can have. A ninja can only have up to 10 normal skills. "Free" skills do not count towards this cap, but their effects are usually very weak or they have very steep requirements. Just like with jutsus and items, you can create custom skills, but they'll need to be approved first. Bear in mind that skills are held up to much higher standards than jutsu and items. | |
